The great guys at FairFX asked me to design them a updated website after having redesigned and updated their branding and credit cards.
In early 2014, after having redesigned and updated FairFX's branding, they approached me with another project to give their previous website a redesign as well. They wanted a design that could be implemented with minimal changes required to the previous structure of their website and backend systems. By following their brief I was able to design a variety of options and directions and this was the one they chose to expand further upon.
The goal of this redesign was to incorporate the style and flow of the new branding into a website design as well as developing a website design that allowed and conveyed a relaxed yet professional service for travellers and audiences from a wide range of demographics and technical/usability backgrounds. Following the brief and revisions from FairFX's Marketing team and working closely with them I was able to develop some effective designs.
At the request of the FairFX marketing team, I also created some microsites and extra landing pages such as mobile and tablet app site designs, and website designs for affiliate programs and affiliate landing pages.
The best way to tackle a responsive design requirement is to design a UI that can be easily scalable across the screen sizes. This is how I approached the design from the beginning. Everything from the custom menu/call to action buttons system to the sub page links and social blocks is easily scalable from a screen thats extremely small to one thats extremely large.
Working closely with FairFX's marketing team we were able to create a direction that they wanted and liked, that allowed for minimal changes to the previous structure and backend system of their website yet improved vastly on the user experience of their target demographics.
